When Everything Falls Apart, Choose You

Every now and then, life will pull the rug out from under you.
One minute, you're moving forward, finding your rhythm, holding on to something that feels steady. Then the ground shifts. What once felt like safety becomes uncertain. And the very places that helped you heal, grow, and find yourself no longer feel like home. Sometimes we lose things that were never really ours to begin with. Other times, we have to walk away from the very places we once ran to for comfort. It's painful. Confusing. And most of all, disorienting.
But when everything starts to fall apart, what you must remember is this:
You don't have to fall apart with it.
You don't have to have it all figured out. You don’t need a full plan. Sometimes, healing starts with the smallest gesture: getting out of bed. Putting your feet on the ground. Taking a deep breath. Choosing not to reply. Choosing to eat something nourishing. Choosing silence instead of explaining yourself again.
Choosing yourself.

You can lose people, routines, familiar places, but never lose yourself.
You are still capable of giving, of showing up with kindness, of loving deeply and fiercely. And now, it's time to offer that same love and loyalty to the person who has carried you through it all: you.
The truth is, nothing and no one can take away your softness, your strength, your story. What was built in truth can never be erased by absence. Let go of what no longer serves your peace. Let go of those who do not know how to hold your heart. Let go of needing closure that will never come. Your dignity is not defined by who stayed or who left. It’s defined by the quiet courage to keep going anyway.
This is not the end. This is the moment you return home, to yourself.
Rebound. Always.
